No matter your experience level, you’ve been away from the stage for a while, and this is your way back.

This eight-week class teaches students a simplified approach to scene work, as well as how to identify personal strengths and areas for growth. The graduation show will demonstrate everything you’ve learned in a hilarious comedy show.

Veteran teacher Chris Griswold (UCB, Annoyance) brings his decades of teaching experience to bear on creating a regimen of personalized exercises for your individual growth. You will set personal goals and work on them together during the course of the class.

In this class, students will:
⚡️ set personal goals
⚡️ identify and build strengths
⚡️ recognize and play patterns for comedy
⚡️ develop a personalized strategy for growth
⚡️ play grounded characters with human reactions

Completion Requirements:
⚡️ Attendance of at least 6 sessions
⚡️Attendance can be made up for free via drop-in classes

About the teacher

A performer and teacher for more than 20 years, Thunderbolt Comedy’s Chris Griswold (Upright Citizens Brigade, Annoyance) has worked with more than a thousand students worldwide.

Chris’ students have gone on to write, direct, or star in such things as The Simpsons, Saturday Night Live, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Three Busy Debras, Silicon Valley, New Girl, and Broadway’s Stuffed.

Covid-19 Protocols

The teacher is a Covid Compliance Officer on film sets and will be taking forehead temperatures at the beginning of class. Students must be vaccinated and bring their vaccine passport with them. Masks will be worn at all times.
